Key Responsibilities

• Develop & execute PMC’s technical and operational strategy

• Lead exploration programs: mapping, drilling, sampling & resource estimation

• Oversee feasibility studies, mine planning & project risk assessment

• Manage multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff & build institutional capability

• Ensure compliance with mining laws, HSE standards & reporting frameworks

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Progression of exploration projects through study and evaluation milestones.

• Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of technical reports.

• Compliance with regulatory, HSE, and reporting standards.

• Effective project management and cost control.

• Strength of consultant oversight and technical governance.

• Development of team capability and knowledge management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Minimum 16 years in Geoscience (Geology/Geophysics), Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, or related disciplines.

• Experience: At least 15 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.

• Experience in mineral exploration and development projects, preferably metallic minerals (gold, copper, base metals, iron ore).

• Experience with public sector organizations or large-scale mining projects is a plus.
